True alignment occurs with balance of intellect and emotional intelligence.
Our right brain hemisphere (limbic system) governs our creativity and compassion. When one operates too much in this side of the brain they lack the logic and action of the other hemisphere and become ruled by their emotions and take on a personality that is submissive and naïve. People with empathic tendencies operate heavily in this hemisphere.
Our left brain hemisphere governs our logic as well as analytical and scientific thought.
When one operates too much in this side of the brain they lack the emotional intelligence of the other hemisphere and can become selfish, dominating and controlling. People with narcissistic tendencies operate heavily in this hemisphere.
When one operates too much in any one hemisphere it brings them out of alignment. Operating too much in the limbic system can get you caught up in other peoples stories. It is the buying into the actions and thoughts of other people which starts to take us out of alignment. This occurs through submissive and naïve behaviour taking on or prioritising what another persons value system over their own. When you operate out of your own value system. You are no longer in alignment.
Operating too much in the left hemisphere a person is survival oriented. Lacking other emotional or intuitive senses this person can get caught up in taking action but not really know why they are doing it. This lack of intention or purpose is what brings them out of alignment with themselves.
When we operate in true alignment we are able to use our emotional intelligence to create and guide us along with our intellectual intelligence to create the logic and action required to bring ideas into manifestation. This is true intelligence.
